Notes

◊ Nose: Rich, powerful. The first nose offers a festival of aromas of flambéed bananas, citrus fruits and papaya, enhanced by a touch of ginger. Astonishingly fresh, the nose then evolves towards aromas of dark chocolate and delicately praline cinnamon. The nose ends with smoky notes, combining blond tobacco and acacia.
◊ Palate: Elegant, rich and complex. The attack on the palate is intense, revealing an avalanche of fruits (ripe banana, roasted mango, blood orange) that quickly transform into notes of coffee, chocolate praline and licorice. In the middle of the mouth, caramel is invited, accompanied by a spicy hint (cayenne pepper) which brings a certain vivacity to the whole. Finally, woody nuances and candied fruits (plum, cherry) recall an old single malt aged in Sherry casks.
◊ Finish: Long, mature. The final concludes the experience with a real sensory fireworks display. Nuts mingle with citrus fruits, then giving way to pastry flavors (crème brulee, mille-feuille). Caramelized fruits (prunes, quince, carambola) stir the taste buds before disappearing into elegant Havana smoke. The retro-olfaction is incredibly complex, revealing scents of molasses, hydrocarbon, roasted almond and Bourbon vanilla.

Unlike a traditional distillery, Chapter 7 is an independent bottler founded in Scotland and specialising in the selection of rare and expressive whiskey and rum casks. Its name refers to the idea of telling a story through each barrel, each “chapter” being a unique and limited edition. Chapter 7 goes through the cellars of recognized distilleries to identify barrels with exceptional aromatic potential, then elevates, blends or refines them with precision until reaching the desired balance. Their artisanal and confidential approach favors quality over volume: each release is numbered, often from a single barrel, and bottled without any tricks, to reveal the authentic character of the selected spirit.
