To perpetuate our passion

for the great wines of Bordeaux

Carried by generations of dedicated men and women, the company has evolved while remaining true to its heritage. Today, it continues to write its story with the same high standards and the same spirit of transmission that have guided it since its origins.

To develop Mähler-Besse further, the Castéja family came in to support the company, ensuring the preservation of its community spirit. Today, Philippe Castéjà is the chairman and majority owner of the company.

Historically, Bordeaux’s major wine trading houses were based in the Chartrons district. Mähler-Besse remains true to this tradition, having never left its headquarters for over 130 years.
