The Mason's brand is the result of a sincere collaboration between Glenfarclas and Mähler-Besse.

After several years, they developed Mason's together exclusively for the French market. Mason's thus benefits from the distillation secrets passed on by the Grant family, owners of Glenfarclas for six generations.

Mason's Blend is a whiskey with a high proportion of malt. It develops an interesting aromatic structure marked by a beautiful roundness in the mouth. This whiskey benefits from aging in Sherry casks which gives it fruity and gourmet notes.

Notes

◊ Nose: Immediate sweetness of malt, vanilla, blond caramel, notes of yellow fruits (peach, pear) and a hint of honey. A warmer touch then appears: soft oak, cookie and a hint of light spices

◊ Palate: Round and delicious. Vanilla, toffee, toasted cereals, sweet fruits, sweet fruits, a hint of citrus and slight notes of dried fruit from the sherry. Beautiful drinkability, balance between softness and freshness

◊ Finish: Soft, slightly woody, with a return to vanilla, caramel and a touch of spices

In 1976, Mähler-Besse became the exclusive distributor for France of Glenfarclas Single Highland Malt Whisky. Strengthened by the success of this wonderful malt, a few years later, Mähler-Besse launched its own range of Scottish whiskeys signed by Mason's. Mähler-Besse selected whiskeys from John Grant, owner of Glenfarclas, the whiskeys that would be marketed under its own brand. Mason's thus has its roots in the Highlands, these highlands of Scotland.
