The Mason's brand is the result of a sincere collaboration between Glenfarclas and Mähler-Besse.

After several years, they developed Mason's together exclusively for the French market. Mason's thus benefits from the distillation secrets passed on by the Grant family, owners of Glenfarclas for six generations.

Mason's Blended Malt 8 years represents an upgrade in the Mason's universe.

An exclusive blend of Scottish single malts that have aged for at least eight years, it offers a more structured, deeper and more aromatic expression than Mason's Blend, while maintaining the brand's DNA: authenticity, accessibility and elegance.

Notes

◊ Nose: Soft and expressive. Creamy vanilla, caramel, ripe yellow fruits (mirabelle plums, peaches), malted biscuits. Notes of dried fruits and sweet spices (nutmeg, cinnamon) add an additional touch of complexity.

◊ Palate: Round, ample and harmonious. Malt is fully expressed: toasted cereals, toffee, honey. Then come cooked fruits (roasted apple, poached pear), a hint of citrus and a touch of sherry with raisins. The eight years of aging bring structure and finesse without excess wood.

◊ Finish: Long, sweet and slightly spicy. Notes of vanilla, soft oak and dried fruits that persist with elegance.

In 1976, Mähler-Besse became the exclusive distributor for France of Glenfarclas Single Highland Malt Whisky. Strengthened by the success of this wonderful malt, a few years later, Mähler-Besse launched its own range of Scottish whiskeys signed by Mason's. Mähler-Besse selected whiskeys from John Grant, owner of Glenfarclas, the whiskeys that would be marketed under its own brand. Mason's thus has its roots in the Highlands, these highlands of Scotland.
