Each vintage transparently expresses the richness of Almaviva's Franco-Chilean heritage: the exceptional soil and climate of the Maipo Valley and the know-how of the Mouton-Rothschild team. With humid and cold winters, and summers marked by heat during the day and freshness at night, Cabernet Sauvignon (the majority grape variety in this blend) grows in ideal conditions to transform it into a great wine.

Notes

◊ Nose: Complex combining intense aromas of blackberry, black cherry, redcurrant, with spicy nuances of licorice, pepper and a touch of vanilla and dark chocolate brought by aging in barrels
◊ Palate: Velvety structure, supported by fine, elegant and racy tannins, with rich flavors of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, as well as a subtle note of mocha. The finish is fresh, long and nuanced.

Almaviva, Chile

Almaviva is recognized as one of the most prestigious and refined wines on the South American continent

Almaviva is a prestigious estate emblematic of Chilean viticulture, the result of an alliance between Baroness Philippine de Rothschild and the Guilisasti family, owners of Viña Concha y Toro. Located in the heart of the Maipo Valley, on an exceptional land at the foot of the Andes, the estate combines Bordeaux know-how with the richness of the Chilean soil. Since its creation in 1997, Almaviva has established itself as a symbol of luxury and excellence, embodying the elegance, finesse and power of Grand Cru wines from the New World.
