Bordeaux

At Château de Hartes, the harvest from these plots is always harvested later due to the dominant grape varieties (Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon).

Controlling phenolic maturity (tannins/anthocyanins) makes it possible to harvest ripe and healthy grapes. The meticulous and careful vinification gives this red wine: depth, flexibility and length in the mouth. The floral nose of the Cabernet grape predominates in its youth and later evolves into the more complex aromas of a Grand Vin de Bordeaux.

Château de Hartes

a château that reflects the love of the people of Bordeaux for their wines, a domain run by wine enthusiasts

Philippe MAZEAU settled in 1972 on this property of about fifteen hectares in one piece, located on a hill, an authentic site in the heart of Entre-Deux-Mers in its most hilly and most picturesque part. It dominates a magnificent panorama of vineyards, forests and meadows with its villages, its Romanesque churches, its castles and charming houses... some people speak of a “little Tuscany”.
