Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Château La Couronne is an emblematic Saint-Emilion Grand Cru located in the town of Saint-Hippolyte. It presents a perfectly balanced wine. This fruit-based wine, made from limited yields and long macerations, is attractive. Its elegant wood, its finesse and its delicacy make it a wine of immediate pleasure.

In an architectural setting that combines originality and classicism, the vat room at Château La Couronne puts the most recent technical equipment at the service of tradition (truncated conical tanks, thermoregulation system, etc.).

The small size of the vineyard allows winemakers to bring meticulous care and attention to it in order to offer, with each bottle, the best of a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru.

Chateau La Couronne

Château la Couronne Saint-Emilion Grand Cru remains one of the traditional wine estates on the Right Bank while benefiting from modern equipment

Owned by Maison Mähler-Besse since 1992, Château La Couronne is one of the classic signatures of the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation. Vinified in the purest Bordeaux tradition, the estate is distinguished by elegant, gourmet wines with a silky structure. Château La Couronne practices sustainable cultivation, with manual harvesting at optimal maturity to preserve the quality of the fruit. By being located on clay-limestone and sandy-clay soils, it benefits from a soil renowned for best expressing Merlot, associated with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
