
At the end of the 18th century, the noble house of Terrefort belonged to Mr. Laurent Larrieu, master of surgery, royal demonstrator professor. It had previously belonged to the Masparrault, Brane and Dourmec families.
The current estate to which Château Cusseau has been annexed, located straddling the Margaux and Haut-Médoc appellations, forms a set of different types of land, producing three very different and remarkable qualities of wine, each of which is remarkable in its genre.
