Overture

2021-2022

Red

Oakville, Napa Valley

In 1993, Opus One decided to create a second wine called Overture, to follow the tradition of Grands Crus from the Bordeaux region.

Overture testifies to the know-how of the Technical Director: it is the consecration of the art of blending five traditional Bordeaux grape varieties and of sublimating the qualities of the same grape grown on different soils.

The blending process of the five grape varieties being very selective, the lots not selected for the first wine, but nevertheless qualitative, are selected to create Overture. The particularity of this second wine therefore: different blends and different vintages combined
