Rutherfold

Quintessa embodies the sustainable commitment of a winery designed to stand the test of time. For over thirty years, Agustin and Valeria Huneeus have protected this unique Rutherford region, a mosaic landscape between the Vaca Mountains and the Napa River. Forests, lakes, biodiversity and ancestral soils, from volcanic ash to silty loams, nourish a wine of rare elegance, faithful to its origin.

Each vintage testifies to this harmony between nature and know-how, a reflection of a vineyard cultivated with respect. Quintessa expresses the richness, balance and purity of this great Napa Valley region.

Quintessa

Quintessa fully reflects its land, ranking among the best wines in Napa Valley.

It was in 1990 that the Chilean couple Agustin and Valeria Huneeus created the future very famous Quintessa vineyard. They chose Rutherford, a famous wine region in the heart of Napa Valley, to establish their property there. The particularity of these lands is that they have never welcomed vines before. The land has an exceptional geodiversity: it is nestled in the heart of hills and valleys, also surrounding Dragon Lake. The Huneeus family decided to use organic and biodynamic practices, and to work each plot individually, from harvest to vinification, to thus preserve all the particularities of this formerly virgin land.
